I have 2 domains, d1 and d2; on d1 I have a 2K server
(SP4), if I try and add a user from d2 to grant access
rights the object picker allows me to select a user
however when I click add the user in the pane shows as a
SID. There is a 2 way trust in place and all the other
servers on d1 can add users from d2 and resolve their
names just fine. A futher addendum is the NIC on the
problem server went bad and I had to remove it from the
domain, then re-add it again so I was thinking there
might be a SID conflict. Any suggestions?
