hi

got a asus a8n-sli premium and i have 1g (2x 512m) pc4800 but looks for more ram, buy more
of the same or look for a 2g kit (2x 1g)?

from what i have read about this mb it won't (for sure) run 4x 512m in ddr400! right?!?

minimal impact between ddr333 and ddr400 speed? (spz if you have 2g) the modules i have is
good brand (2-2-2-5)

If you have decent RAM you can set the memory clock to DDR400 without
problems with 4x512MB modules. Asus is being quite conservative in
limiting that to DDR333. You do still need to use 2T command rate,
however (I believe even with the latest CPUs).

about what i suspected, 2t or 1t is just a few hundred mb/s, more important to have 2g then...

1t not even with e4 toledo/venice/san diego/manchester? (little sad if true..)

anyone running 1t with 4x modules?

That's the setup I have in my A8N-SLI Deluxe.. Newcastle CPU, however.

it' can't consume more thant the psu it self. even if you have a
600watts psu your billing will not go has high for the comsomption of
your rig...

EX: full load 24hr/d on 30 day...

(so 24hr x 30 days x 0.6 kilowatt) x 0.065$/kw/h= that does 28$
mounth. little more or less but it correct.

How's is your bill at your place $per kw/hr???

Also if your telling that your cpu consume like 40amp at a 1.6v it
would be like 64watt of power, 0.064k w/hr... and it cost you 2.8$ at
0.065 $ per hour.

Do you own a server like with 10 cpu???

hehe....but i have 4 computers, two always on (servers)!! cool'n'quite saves a lot thanx
god!! but still much. rate here is about 0.0813$/kwh, before a 25% tax and you have to pay
certificate for "renewable" energy (some few % of this) and last post, pay for maintainance
for the electic net. all this gives me a calulated year price of 463$ :-(

and for the ex, dont forget the monitor and all other electric things in my home!!!

will start to excange the game props, gaming draw a lot of juice....one cpu is allready
swapped to a venice one, one left....

all psu are of high effecincy brand >80% with pfc 99%, this saves about 50w compared to
"normal" not nice ones (~70-80% eff.)
