I don't put up a tree, don't have decorations, only send a card to anybody who sends one to me and breathe a huge sigh of relief when it's all over. I am also agnostic so see no reason to celebrate.

Pressies? I buy me Mum and niece something, my Dad's no longer with us and my three daughters each get a bank transfer.

Done, sorted, roll on January.

It wasn't always that way of course, to see children on that morning is one of life's great pleasures.

And yes, there is something magical about carols at midnight on the Eve of but I really have had just about enough of it.
