I'm getting this error whenever I try to do an MSI based un/install. In
other words, right now I can't do any instalation or uninstallation. W2K
SP4.

Any suggestions?

The system cannot open the
device or file specified.
Internal Error 2755. 110, H:\L04ADXRC.msi

KB articles indicate that this may happen if the named folder or drive is
encrypted.

Neither %TEMP% or the CD, of course, are encrypted.

I did an OS repair and the same thing is happening.

Try this one. Error 110 is about "device can't be accessed". Did you skip SP3?

hi.

i had the same problem installing MySQL Control Center. I finally got
it to work as follows.

1) right click on the .msi and setup.exe files.

2) Under the General tab, click on Advanced.

3) Uncheck 'Encrypt contents to secure data'.

hope this helps. i am using win2k SP2

alex.
