I want to purchase a 250 GB Hard Drive. I have read some
people have had problems when they surpass 130 GB. I
believe it has something to do with the BIOS and not
Windows XP. How can I check if my system can handle a 250
GB Hard Drive?

I should also mention you can download (free!) Aida32 and it shows in the
Storage->ATA section a checkbox for 48-bit LAB support. This tool will tell
you everything about your system.

Check with the people that made the motherboard for BIOS updates and drive
compatibility.
