which skt should i get 478 or lga 775

cpu's same prices - was goto get a 478 for ebuyer and a anus board - but that site don't sell them - could u tell me which CPU to get, and recommend a mobo from that site?

Socket 478 - do NOT touch LAG775 at the moment - it needs DDR2 memory which can only run at CAS4 at this point in time and LGA775 systems generally tend to run slower because of this.

My advice is stick with Socket 478 Prescott or go AMD

ok i'll go for 478 - which motherboard should i get from that site - as i was goto get an asus mobo - but there not sellin them ? lookin to spend about £70-£100

if you can find it, get an Asus P4P800-E Deluxe

its a springdale but it's faster than most canterwoods!

Well, that's typical of PC World, really typical

I was going to buy 2 x 512Mb of Corsair Value PC3200 anyway, so thought I'd get 25% off.

Guess what? They're out of stock of all flavours of that particular RAM.

Bah, humbug, plus some other choice expressions that I best not vent....

I was lookin at the killer prices on the Geforce 6800GT OC, To bad thier out of stock. Then it hit me... i have no idea how much a pound is! hehehe... ... So does anybody know what it would be in american dollars or maybe a estimate perhaps? just though i'd ask.
