Nope. You are confused. When adding a POP account to Outlook 2010, your only options are:
Deliver new messages to:
- New Outlook Data file (.pst)
- Existing Outlook Data file (.pst)
After creating the account, you can then modify location where new mail is delivered, nad you have the option of choosing any existing .pst or .ost (Exchange) file.
