my trial version of outlook expired the other day - i really need to save an
attachment - but outlook won't let me - is there any way I can do this?

Assuming this is an Exchange or POP3 account.

If the message is in a PST:
A) Purchase the product.
-or-
B) If you have Outlook 2003, uninstall 2007, reinstall 2003 and reattach to
the pst.

If it's pop3 and you told it to leave a copy of the message on the server
A) Download it with a different pop3 client (assuming it is still there)
-or-
B) Use your ISPs Web Based Mail Reader (assuming it is still there)

If it's an IMAP or Hotmail account accessed via WebDAV:

IMAP: Log in using a different IMAP client and save the attachment.
Hotmail via WebDAV: Log into Hotmail.
