I've seen so many posts complaining about speed that I have to wonder if I'm
the luckiest guy on the planet. I was more or less dragged kicking and
screaming into the Vista world but had to because Office 2007 was dreadfully
slow using XP but is quite quick using Vista. In fact, it's considerably
faster than 2003 had been in the old XP days.

Is my experience totally different from everyone's or is it just that happy
people don't tend to write about it? ;-)

Tim

TS,
After the search index was completed (2GB pst). It is fast. However, I have
a new computer that is much more powerful. I thoroughly enjoy the
experience.

One thing that hampers most folks is their inability to forget what was and
concentrate on the new. Those that have upgraded without fully understanding
the need for Vista enabled drivers are the biggest ranters. They are mad
because they made the mistake, but want to blame someone else, usually
Microsoft and take personal attacks on Bill Gates. Childish.

I never saw a speed degradation with OL 2007 and Vista, either. But I
didn't upgrade.

The OP said that things are *faster* on Vista.
