2007 SP3 Changed Signature Settings....Help!

On my laptop, I have to change my SMTP settings everytime I go to a new
location. So, instead of changing settings I added accounts for the different
SMTP servers. When I type a new message I just swicth to the appropriate
account and off it goes. Works great....until last night when I installed the
SP3 for Office 2007.

Now when I change accounts it deletes the entire message, worst of all I
can't undo it and I've lost a lot of typing.

This is the cause, I have a signature set up that includes a header and
footer. When I switch accounts it deletes the signature and in so doing the
entire contents of the message. Is there a way to have the signature (which
was custom stationery in 2003) not disappear when I change accounts?

Thanks!
Sheldon.

Where did you obtain SP3 for Office 2007 from? You should only download
software updates for Microsoft products from the Microsoft website (via
Microsoft Update or Office Update). There is no such thing as SP3 for
Office 2007, and you have obviously downloaded some bogus updates. Make
sure that your system hasn't been infected with malware!

I know nothing about a SP3.

However, as soon as I upgraded from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2007, I
experienced the same problem and have the same frustration as Sheldon.

Here is the workaround I am using. Before inserting the signature, select
the e-mail account from which you wish to send the message. Then,
insert/edit the signature. Warning: do not change the e-mail account after
making the edits, even to change it to the same (correct) e-mail account that
is already selected. Otherwise, it will all disappear.

If someone has a "real" fix for this issue, please let me know.

In Outlook 2003 and moreso in 2007, signatires are account-specific.
Naturally, then. changing the account will change the signature.
