I uninstalled and reinstalled Office Ultimate 2007 but that did not change
anything. I did notice that the Access Options configuration which was
previously changed from the default was not cleared back to the original
state.
I presume that means that not all registry entries related to Office 2007
were removed when it was uninstalled.
It feels like the inability to display the properties window is influenced
by a system wide setting that was not changed when Office was uninstalled and
the right click context menu is influenced by a database specific setting.
I imported all the objects from the 2003 database that wont right click to a
2007 blank database. I found that the right click still doesn't work. I also
found that the resulting 2007 database wont run because of missing
references. When I tried to add the references, they were not listed and when
i tried to browse to the OCX files, 2007 would not link to them.
I tried to use the convert facility to convert the 2003 database to 2007.
the result was that some of the previously missing references showed up but
the database still wont work without managing some of those references.
However, right click still wont work on this database.
As far as the properties window issue is concerned. There must some
configuration option that got turned on that prevents them from being
displayed.
