Hi, I wonder if anyone can help with an Outlook 2007 issue, I have just
upgraded from 2003.

I have set my mail format to plain text which I prefer to HTML. I used this
setting in Outlook 2003 and everything was fine, but I find in 2007 if I try
and reply to an incoming message the reply text is crunched to the left,
rather than across the whole of the screen.

This problem does not occur if I change to HTML, but then that create other
problems like doube spacing when using ENTER (rather than SHIFT ENTER), Enter
is something I have got used to over the years.

I assume in Outlook 2007 I can't disable Word as the text editor like you
could in previous versions?

Correct, but I've got it behaving in a reasonable approximation of the
Outlook editor: new messages are always Plain Text with no formatting.
Wrapping occurs properly.

Hi Brian,

Do you remember if you had to change anything to get it responding like that?

Thanks, Ashley.

I had to set my default format to Plain Text and set the line wrap value.

In Outlook 2007 how does one set the word wrap length in plain text (or indeed anything else about how incoming mail is displayed) I have to go to security settings to get it to do plain text. It wraps words wrong. Is there anything that can be done with this? I used Outlook 2003 for years and that did this just fine, but 2007 seems determined to drive me mad.
