The software appears to be gone - not showing in the programs list through
the start option, but is still showing in the control panel add/remove and
when I try to remove it says uninstall did not complete, reload software from
CD DVD or other original source. I have reloaded, but the same trial version
comes up asking me to convert and then it won't even complete the convert
process. I have tried a registry correction tool, but it did not fix this
problem. I am not certain what to remove with regedit so I have not tried
that approach yet. Thanks for any assistance on this - frustrating!

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

This is the registry key that contains the programs on the add/remove list.
I would see how the program is named in this key and then search the entire
registry on that name. When deleting registry entries, be sure to export a
..reg file for each deletion in case something goes wrong and you need to
restore what you deleted.
