2007 not keeping draft before sending.

At our office we use Outlook 2007 with our Hosted Exchange system.

Normally, it works fine.

But periodically, when sending a message it will freeze when trying to send
and sometimes will give you a message something like "trying to get some
information from the Exchange system".

At this point, it will Never come back and you have to close the message
window which will crash the Outlook program.

Now this would not be so much of a problem except that Outlook doesn't save
a draft before it sends the document and you have now lost anything you have
done at this point.

I used to use Eudora which always kept a draft or in the Out box it would
have the document with a tilde in it showing it hadn't been sent for some
reason. At this point you could either resend or make changes and send
again. The point is the document was there.

Is there a way to force Outlook to save a copy on your disk before sending?

Thanks,

Tom
