I have a database that I migrated from 2002-3 to 2007. I have created an mde
with 2007. I added an new digital cirtificate to it to take care of the
security issues. It runs fine on a pc running XP and office 2007. I tested
it on another pc running Vista with office 2007. At first it disbled all the
macros, and I found that once I made the directory where the database is
located safe it works fine.

I then installed it on a client's laptop also running office 2007 on Vista.
I made the directory safe. But evry time it opens it insists on opening the
mde database in read only mode. I have checked all the file permissions that
I could think of but could not find anthing set to read only.

I can't tell what set up differences there are between my control pc and my
clients.

Anyone got any clues?

A quick thought on this issue. Has the user got read write permissions to the
drive location you have installed the data base on????

Should have said the data folder location (Tables), if they don't have these
permissions, then it will open read only (Or at least I think it does) sorry
if this doesn't help

Kindest Regards
