2005 shared calendar off one day

When scheduling appts for January 2005, we enter the correct date but when it
shows up on the calendar - the actual calendar DAYS are off. e.g. January 1
should be a Saturday, but it shows as a Friday. The whole year seems to be
off one day. Any solutions?
