Evertime I open a powerpoint that is sent to me or if I just open Office
Powerpoint 2003, I get this error message; "Microsoft Office PowerPoint has
encountered a problem and needs to close, We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Although, everything has loaded up and just as I start to look at the slides
or start working on a project, that error comes up. It gives me the option to
restart Powerpoint, and of course I get the same message if I do. I can go to
the tool menu in office 2003 and use the application recovery. That will fix
the powerpoint that I put together but not if I recieve one by e-mail. I have
reinstalled all of office 2003, ran a few registry cleaners, Nothing seems to
work. I think this started when I downloaded a powerpoint presentation off
the internet.
The error report is quit long and when I try to send it, it gets cut off. In
my event log I get Event ID 1000, In the help and support center, I get
Event ID 1000 and Source Microsoft Office 11. There is nothing in the
Knowledge base for this error, and the error is: Faulting application
powerpnt.exe, verson 11.0.6564.0, stamp 42c1f191. Faulting module
kernel32.dll, version 5.1.2600.2180, stamp 411096b4. debug? 0.fault address
0x0001eb33 Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
Vince

If it was me I'd install office 2003, then check for any "updates / service
packs"

Well, I guess I half way fixed it. I can watch powerpoints but will not let
me fix the very last step. I can open it but when prompted to fix the issue,
It starts but then errors??
