When I attempt to open an email I receive " This is a message header. The
full item has not been downloaded."

At INBOX, ALT CTRL-S >SEND/RECEIVE GROUP>All Accounts>EDIT >displays an
option to display headers only or the entire message including the
attachment. In the grayed out area, I can see that a dot in the display
headers only section. Due to the gray out I cannot chooose the alternate
selection.

How can I access the alternate choice?

Then the send/receive settings are per folder. So select the folder in that
screen and then the options will activate and you can change it to
"complete".

Negative -been there done that
CTR ALT S, All ACTIVE>then Highlighting INBOX & then R clicking on it does
not allow access in order to change the grayed out options. I still cannot
get to "complete". 2x clicking on INBOX renders the same result.

This is new DELL computer. The problem started 2 weeks ago, (when I shifted
from a POP3 to IMAP), but not immediately. Four days ago, I disabled both
McAfee & Spysweepr. That did not solve the issue. I then ran the MS OFFICE
installation disk and chose the repair tool followed by a shut down. Upon
rebooting, the Email worked fine.....until the following day. I think I did a
restart. Since then the header only problem returned.

F.Y.I., I use MS OFFICE PROFESSIONAL 2003 SP3. The email handler is OUTLOOK
and not outlook express.

Never forget: 2 + 2 = 5 for extremely large values of 2.
