Why will 2003 not read dlookup codes in event procedures while prior versions
of access will in same application? Is there a security setting I need to
reset in 2003?

DLookup() works exactly the same in A2003 as earlier versions: same
features, same limitations, same bugs.

There must be another factor at play here.
