I have recently installed office 2003 and excel is not functioning quite
normal. For some reason, any formula will not work or change until the
document has been saved.

For example if a cell is adding two cells together eg A1 is $4 and A2
is 5$ and a cell is addeing them together (=A1+A2) nothing comes up in
that cell until i have hit save.

If i then change a figure it doesn't auto change the result. I have to
hit save again before it works.

I need this to ge back to normal.

Can someone please help.

Go to Tools Menu then Option then Calculation then tic Automatic then
OK.
