Right now I'm running Office 2003 on both my desktop and netbook and using
SyncToy to move the PST file(s) back and forth, which is working great.

I'm about to upgrade my desktop, which will probably mean moving it to
Office 2007.

Given the netbook will keep running Office 2003, can I keep just moving the
PST file back and forth between the two, even if one is Outlook 2003 and the
other is Outlook 2007?

Yes, the pst-file would still be compatible with Outlook 2003 even when
you've used it with Outlook 2007.
