Hi,

In XP (home or pro) after you've downloaded a file from the internet (save
as...) it is not listed under you recent documents menu, e.g. for opening.

In W2K this was there so is it something removed or could it be enabled
somehow in XP? The closest solution I can see is to allow expansion of the
'My Documents' folder on the start menu (which I've set to use the classic
view).

Is it possible to hack (for example the registry) in order to put your own
folder at the top section in the 'Documents' menu and have that expand? I've
tried TweakUI and that doesn't appear to have anything relevant.

Regards,
Mark

After a bit of observation, the 'My Recent Documents' folder does get
updated with items such as a PDF file downloaded via right-click 'Save
as...' from a hyperlink.

So are the filename going into this list filtered somehow by a set of
extensions/types? And this be changed to include other extensions?

Thanks,
Mark
