Try booting off the Windows 2000 CD and boot into recovery console. From
here you can manually remove SP4 by using this article:
825062 Service Pack 4 Permits You to Remove the Service Pack by Using the

If you contrinue to receive Stop errors when you try booting from the CD,
you may need to run some hardware diagnostics tests.
