20 PST files: Which data to move from OL 2002 to 2007?

A *.pst search on my system returns 20 PST files with dates ranging
back to 2002. I just upgraded from Office 2000/Outlook 2002 to Office
2007 and need to move my active PST data files to OL 2007 (I want out
of the 2GB limit).

I know I have two active PSTs that I've been using in OL 2002. I have
created an empty PST in OL2007 and have some questions before I
proceed further:

1) I should be safe going by the most recent Date Modified to
ascertain the two active PSTs, correct? There are only two that show
today's date, one is 1,970,129 KB and the other is 1,200,337 KB.

2) Do I move (not Import, that I know) one of my 2002 PSTs into a
newly-created OL 2007 PST and then move the other one into a second
newly-created PST?

3) Once I am satisfied that all my current Outlook data is over in
Outlook 2007 PSTs, can I safely delete the 18 other PSTs? Twice
before I have hit the 2 GB limit and so two of these old PSTs show 2GB
+ file sizes. They are useless to me, right? Fifteen old PSTs are
relatively small in size and the remaining one is a recent back-up
PST.

4) I use a couple of OL Add-ins (GTD and Franklin Covey PlanPlus) .
Three of the 20 PSTs have names relating to GTD (288 KB) and Plan Plus
(128 KB and 80 KB). Should I leave those alone?

5) Any other cautions?

Many thanks!

1. Yes. The modified date shows when it was last closed by outlook.
2. Assuming you mean move the folders and messages, not the pst, yes. You
could put both in the same pst if you want, rather than 2 psts.
3. as long as you don't need them archived, or previously copied them to a
backup, yes you can delete them.
4. I probably would. But if the modified date is very old, you could
probably safely delete them. Better yet, burn them to a DVD.
5. The only thing I can think of right now is you could move (or copy) data
from the 2 psts that you need now, not all of it. Outlook 2007 can read
older psts so you could keep them as archives.
