1. Yes. The modified date shows when it was last closed by outlook.
2. Assuming you mean move the folders and messages, not the pst, yes. You
could put both in the same pst if you want, rather than 2 psts.
3. as long as you don't need them archived, or previously copied them to a
backup, yes you can delete them.
4. I probably would. But if the modified date is very old, you could
probably safely delete them. Better yet, burn them to a DVD.

5. The only thing I can think of right now is you could move (or copy) data
from the 2 psts that you need now, not all of it. Outlook 2007 can read
older psts so you could keep them as archives.
