I wonder if someone has a great idea how to do this. We have a very small
office with 10 workstations and an equal number of consultants. Most of the
time the consultants use the computers remotely from home so the office
computers are running all the time. We have other activities going on that
could also use these computers but they can't be touched since the
consultants may sign on at any time, 24/7. We simply don't have any room
for more boxes.

I thought, maybe through virtualization, we could have the best of both
worlds. A problem exists because the consultants are in the office perhaps
3-4 times a month and want to sign in directly on to their machines. These
people are not very computer oriented and the final solution must be very
simple. Perhaps there is some software available that could handle that
situation.

I would really appreciate it if someone out there has some thoughts. I have
a computer with VM Workstation 6.0 operating and I am trying to find some
solution to this problem. I also thought about using Terminal Services and
maybe that would be the best solution.

Thank you

Brian O

I support a small business using Log Me In. I can connect to a computer
from home 24/7 yet people in the office can also use the PC. However, the
PC cannot be used at the same time by two users. If I see activity when I
logon, I either wait until later or during a break in the action, I will
open a text file on the desktop and ask the user if I can use the PC.
