I'm encountering two startup issues.

1. The first is a message I get when I startup and
displays as the desktop comes on. It says,

"Ctsvccda.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error
log is being created."

2. The second issue is a DOS prompt window that comes up
just after my desktop displays:

It is labeled C:\WINNT\System32\cmd.exe
and the window reads as follows:
The requested service has already been started.
More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2182.
The requested service has already been started.
More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2182.
The system cannot find the file specified.
C:\temp\*, Are you sure <Y/N>?

That's it . . . Can anyone help me?

My system's running very, very slow suddenly. Plus I just
installed Norton Internet Security 2003 and now my
internal Zip 250 won't read disks, though the drive is
recognized. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Thanks for anything anyone can help me with.

before anything else does. It is a small DOS prompt window
and says the following:

Steve Parry,

Thanks so much for your help. The first site you referred
me to for the Ctsvccda.exe error message, gave me the
steps I needed to take to alleviate the problem.

I'm still having the second issue, noted below, but will
go to the msconfig site you gave and take those steps.

And thanks for the adware site -- terrific!

Judie
