connected to linksys router for DSL connection to internet.
option of dynamic IP address is been selected for this 2nd NIC.
however, this computer never get any ip addressed assigned by linksys
router. I only get IP address from my ISP .. my second computer connected
the same way to router and has no problme getting IP assigned by router.
Linksys staff couldn't help me to figure the problme. and i was hoping
someone might now what might be the problme.
I would appreciate any help i might get ..
Regards

The IP address is the IP from my DSL ISP service provider. router should
recive this ip and assigne me differnt IP address since it acts as Firewall
too.
And DHCP client services is started as well.
Im not sure why this computer is not getting the ip address . .my other
computer connected to same router seems to be fine.
Thanks for the help

Why don't you just assign a static IP to the second NIC? Reorder bindings,
disable DHCP and DNS on the router, configure your server etc.
