I have installed a second hard to my computer and it worked fine. After
about an hour or so the drive was gone in windows (my computer also in
disk management), Rebooted the computer and the drive is back, but not
for long. Does anyone have any ideas?

Are the data and power connectors tight and secure?

Is the drive spinning down (turning itself off) or is it still whirring away
after it disappears?

The event log says the "drive disappeared from the system without
first being prepared for removal". Also I ran a chkdsk and it found
no errors. There is a warning message that says "the system failed to
flush data to the transaction log. Corruption may occur". It is weird
it just disappears.
