How come in XP Pro I have two admin accounts and cannot
delete one of them. I know I need the password protected
one, But why do I need two. Is one of them different than
the other ( more powerful )? And should I never use any
of the admin accounts for anything other than maintenace?
And should I not do things like play online games when
using any of these admin accounts?

By default, Windows provides only one 'administrator' user account.
However, there is an 'administrator' user group as well. Otherwise, you
don't need two administrator accounts. Usually you create another user with
the user's name, such as 'jdoe' for example. Then you'd add your 'jdoe'
user to the administrator group; thus, jdoe would have administrator
privledges.

Open your MMC (Microsoft Management Console) by right clicking on the 'My
Computer' icon on your desktop and select 'Manage...' on the sub-menu. Once
the console opens, expand the 'Local User and Groups' folder in the left
pane--this is where you can easily manage your local user accounts and
groups.

Scott,

The built in Administrator account is your "safety net", in case you can't
log into your other accounts that have Administrator level access. It
should not be used for routine day to day things.
