harddrive that is a basic disk since XP home does not support dynamic disk?
Thanks, Mack

I would think not, but why? What are you trying to achieve?

Hi Mack,

I don't see why not as long as you don't convert the XP Home drive, though I
haven't actually tried that. Be aware too that the Home installation will
not be able to read anything on the dynamic disk. I should think too that
you would want to keep ntldr on the basic disk.

Thanks for replying. Not trying to achieve anything, just wanted to know
since I have XP Home on both drives.

Thanks, Nutcase. I wouldn't want XP Home to read anything from the other
drive. I just want to be able to boot from either drive.

Another one word reply: Why? (Are these two drives in the same machine?)

You have two installations of XP Home on one computer? Why? That's a very
unusual setup. What does doing that accomplish for you?

Does someone have to accomplish anything? Can't you do it just because you
want too? I just like to do things to see if I can.

You can of course do, or at least try to do, whatever you want. A question
like "why do you want to do this?" is often asked because if we understand
your objectives, we may be able to help you achieve them in some way other
by providing the direct answer to your question that you may have thought
was the only thing that could help you.
