Since installing WD, I now have a WD folder and the old Antispyware folder.
Does WD use files in both of them?

Also, can someone tell me what folderthe "current" defination file is stored
in (XP)?

The Microsoft Antispyware folders can be removed if you are clear that you
aren't going back to them--to recover a quarantine item, for example. I'm
not even sure that operation is possible, but I figure I shouldn't just say
go ahead and blow them away!

One place the definitions live is a structure under:

documents and settings\all users\application data\microsoft\windows
defender.

I haven't experimented at all with how the folders within that structure are
used--just observed that they exist.
