Hi, I want to create a fun and personal newsletter, can anyone tell if what
type of software can I purchase, such as power point or front page

I would choose Publisher or Word. They are designed for this type of thing and
come with a selection of templates to help you with the layout. This means that
I would NOT use PowerPoint or FrontPage.
