Media Player saves the movie in *.wmv extension. I want to
make a vcd recognised cd which use *.dat extension. I have
encoders which converts *.avi or *.mpg to *.dat extension.
There is no enconder which convers *.wmv extension to
*.mpg and *.avi extension. So please tell me what I have
to do to solve this problem. How i i save my movie in
*.mpg , *.avi or *.dat extension. ( If not available then
who in *.wav extension ). Please tell me the way and if
any encoder is used for this purpose then tell me from
where i can get that encoder? Please try to find some way
other than encoder but if other way is not possible then
tell me how to get endocer.

If you are using MM2 to make you movie then when you come to save it,
instead of choosing best for computer playback choose

"Show more choices"

and pick dv-avi from the list.

This will give you the avi file to make your vcd.

Oooops, you say you are saving using media player. Do a google search for
".wmv to .avi" you should find some free apps to do it, use one of these and
then make your vcd.
