Hi!
I'm having this really diffucult problem when creating a template for
customer use.

In the Slide master I have settings that every line starts with a bullet.
First line indent is zero and left indent 0.5, which leaves a nice space
after the bullet. When using layout "Bulleted List" everything works ok.

BUT when applying layout "2 column text" to a page with text, PowerPoint
automatically sets also left indent to zero. This means that after the bullet
there is no space. Also at the same time font size drops from 21 pt (set in
Slide Master) to 19 pt.

All this is driving me crazy, since I've seen a presentation with no problem
there. So I'd appreciate any help! I've been using PowerPoint 2000 and 2003
on PC and 1998 on Mac without solution.
Thanks in advance! -henna

The decrease in font size is just the way it works. I've never noticed
problems with the bullet spacing, though. At any rate, set up another slide
master to use for the 2-column text layouts. The font on the (one)
placeholder should be 2 pts larger than the font you ultimately want in the
2-column layout, and the two boxes in the 2-coumn layout will fit in the
area the one placeholder takes on the slide master. So size the placeholder
accordingly.

Problem solved. Seems it might have been a bug in the program (or not, who
knows?). I built the template all over on top of another presentation and so
got all the bullets and spaces right. Thanks for the help/knowledge on font
sizes!
