In any folder in WnXP Pro, I have either blue or black font for files.

example:
AxType.ini (will be listed in blue font)
and the next file
pfctoc.dll (will be listed in black font)

What is causing the different color file fonts ? Any ideas ?
thanks

WinXP Pro, SP2, AMD 2500+, 512 Ram, 80gig HD (60gig free)

From Help

To display encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color
Open Folder Options in Control Panel.
Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
Double-click Folder Options
..
On the View tab, select the Show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color
check box.
Note

When you select this option, the names of encrypted or compressed NTFS files and
folders will be displayed in a different color in the folder.

Thanks guys. That fixed it. How/why are some of my files compressed and some
are not ? Is there something I did to compress them ? Compressing good?
