Reformatted & now neither drives will recognize blank
disks or burn:
Computer is a clone.
Compaq DVD-ROM SD-608
TDK CDRW52008
~Both worked before
~Both are plug & play
~both read, play, upload & install
~both recognize all types of disks, even pc burnt
~When blank disks inserted & accessed from My Computer,
one drive says "insert disk" & the other says "not
accessible"-error.
~Properties indicate the drive is full when disk is blank
~WMP, Nero, & Creative cannot recognize blanks to copy via
program
~Disk Detector is activated
~Since reformat, program changes: added Adobe Elements, MS
Office Pro 2003 upgrade, Win2000 updates, AOL 9.0 upgrade.
~I run Norton Security 2003

Any insight welcome. We are stumped. We are in Florida
dodging our second hurricane with more twirling around out
there in the Atlantic. I can upload to a website but would
like to at least have CDs of all our pix of home, office &
furnishings to take with us in an evac. for quick access
if needed.

Thanks!
