I'm buying a DVD Writer next week and was wondering if it's worth keeping
the CDRW Drive installed as well or am I better off just having the DVD
Writer installed?

Why not remove your regular CD-rom and use the cdrw in it's place. That's
what I did when I bought my Plexwriter Premium CD-rw. It would be a great
backup should something happen to the DVD writer.
