Explorer shows 2 CD-ROM drives; only one is installed. The real one
is "Compact Disk M", and the phantom is "Compact Disk J". Properties
(right click on device) look authentic. The actual installed device
is an Atapi 48x16 CD-RW. The phantom is shown as "AVX CD/DVD-ROM SCSI
CDRom Device" in Computer Manager and in Aida32. I can uninstall the
"SCSI" device, and the system works ok, but it reinstalls itself on a
re-boot.
Is this right? Is there some sort of SCSI emulation going on that
requires showing a SCSI virtual device as a Drive?
I run several CD burning programs for various purposes. The main one
is Nero 6/INCd 4, just upgraded from the previous version.
Clues, anyone?
