Within the past 12 hrs, my system has twice displayed a BSOD.
1st - 8042DEFA at 8040000
Date Stamp 4047db82 ntoskrnl.exe
2nd - Kmode_exception_Not_Handled
EB081794 base at EB080000
Date Stamp 3e25bac8 videoprt.sys
I have no idea how to decipher this message, nor a mini-dump report.
Where do I start?
I checked event viewer. No system events recorded that correspond with the
BSODs.
These 2 events are noted in the Application Log
They have the same time; 4124 is listed before 4126
EventID 4124
Content index on c:\system volume information\catalog.wci is corrupt. Please
shutdown and restart the Indexing Service (cisvc).
EventID 4126
Cleaning up corrupt content index metadata on c:\system volume
information\catalog.wci. Index will be automatically restored by refiltering
all documents.
Thanks for your help.
