About a week ago, several video transition and effects appeared in my
collections. I assumed they were some upgrade. But, when I use them,
there's an X across the frame. Even publishing the video didn't remove the
Xs. Does anyone know what's going on and how to fix it?

maybe you installed the trial version of a Pixelan or other package... you
would go the Control Panel and run the uninstall from the list of programs
