1st Letter in Filenames change from uppercase to lowercase

I have tried to rename files capitalizing the first
letter. I can't. Always goes to lowercase. I have save
files with a capital letter, but when I go into the
directory, the file has a lowercase first letter. Does
anyone know what is going on here?
