I have an IBM NetVista (first part of my problem) that I
attempted to rebuild from a Windows 2000 machine to a
Windows XP machine. I ended up having to Low Level
Format the hard drive. Since then, I have been unable to
load XP. I even used Windows XP setup floppies and was
successful with the 6 floppies and formatting the drive
and loading XP. But when it rebooted and was SUPPOSE to
go to the set up screen (setting date/time, entering in
the key code, etc.)it instead comes back and give me the
1962 Not Operating System Found message. Is the hard
drive dead? Should I take it out back and shoot it?

Have you tried using your Windows XP CD and booting off that instead of
using the floppies? Also, make sure your Virus Protection is turned off
in the BIOS.
