I recently had a Klez Worm H virus and it infected a file
called 1706.exe or 1706.dll or something like that. I had
to remove the file in order to get rid of the virus .. but
failed to write down the name of the file (recent stroke).

Now I get an Error 1706. Any suggestion on locating and
restoring the file?

Thanks,
Duane Loftus

I don't know if it will help you or not, but I just did a
global search on my computer, and found no files starting
with 1706.

It may have not been 1706 (that's the error number), but
was 17sumpin. If you do a 17*.* search, do any .exe
or .dll or anything show up other than htm, gif, wav ?
