I am re-installing XP Pro (clean) and when I boot with
the cd, it copies some files and then begins copying
files to the hard drive. I get 17% done and it freezes.

I have ran chkdsk /r twice and re-formatted several
times. But, it never fails... 17% and it freezes.

PLEASE HELP!!

Check your cd drive it maybe failing.

17% is where it is copying driver.cab if i remember correctly.. my setup has
been crashing at random points through file copy process.. i am going quite
insane.
