Why does win 2000 only see 130 gb of my 160GB drive? SP4 is installed.....

In order to recognise large drives both bios & win has to support large
drives

It should see about 156, remember sellers are selling 160.0GB but the is by
decimal 1000 - whereas for computers it have tro be divided by 1024 to get the
right number

Start/run/regedit
(if unsure export registry for safety)
select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
navigate to system/services/atapi/parameters or
system/currentcontrolset/services/atapi/parameters
right click for new
Select Dword name it EnableBigLba (take note of case)
set value to 1
end regedit
reboot

That will correct it
