When I have tried earlier to install iTunes it seemed to have constantly
crashed before even finishing configuring the Windows Installer with the
error 1608: Unable to create InstallDriver Instance return code: 2147221021,
I have tried anything that's possible on their and installshield's support
sections, I have even checked on the MS support site, nothing worked.Tthe
only solution I have not tried is re-installing windows, but that I do not
plan on doing, for I have too much important data and programs that probably
can't be found anywhere anymore since I've had this computer for several
years and managed to easily fix any problem I have encountered. Another
reason that I refuse to re-install windows is that I have 2 Hard Drives, on
one I have the windows installation, and on the other I have data and
programs (so if I re-install windows, it means I would have to add re-add the
partition for that drive, and as far as I remember in order to add a
partition, you must format that drive).
Also, one of the solution I could not complete because in the Computer
Management window which I accessed through the Control Panel, the Local Users
and Groups does not appear under System Tools, or under any of the tabs for
that matter.
I should also mention, before trying to install it, I have not had trouble
installing anything else, now after trying the solutions, I seem to get the
same error for anything else I attempt at installing.
One last thing, I tried creating an installation log, but it did not do it,
it seems that the installation itself did not even start.
