16 bit subsystem message

I recieve the message C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXE.NT The systemfile is not
suitable for running MS-DOS and microsoft windows application. This happens
while trying to install cd(games). Any help to resolve this issue would be
greatly appreciated.
