I have just upgraded my Digital Video Camera from a Sony
Handycam to a Sony MICROMV IP55.

Neither movie-maker or the Sony supplied Pixel software
recognises the 1394 connection. It is fine on both SW
packages for the Handycam.

When I look on the hardware profile the Handycam is
recognised as an imaging device but the MICROMV is listed
as a multifunction device in the Sound, Video games
listing. Trouble shooting just asks question on audio

Anyone know what could be wrong

I have tried to re-install and on 2 computers but with
same result

Both are running Windows XP

Richard

You made a purchasing mistake. MicroMV is not supported by most programs.
If possible, you're much better off trading it in and going with a miniDV
camcorder.
