Help, I finally got rid of ME by updating to XP. I have
been trying to capture video using XP video software and
by using a capture card from Pinnacle Systems that I
bought at the sametime as the update. Keep getting the
error "does not recognize, find or initialize the capture
device". I have unplugged 1394, installed, uninstalled,
re-installed, shutdown and restarted, moved the card to a
new slot and put it back again, Checked the device
manager it says there's no driver available when I try to
install new hardware. I've downloaded the patches, the
fixes and everything in between. Search for the drivers
but nothing seems to work. Can anyone help?????

Some motherboards are picky about busmastering devices like ide cards,
firewire cards etc. They may only work in only one slot combination with
your other cards or onboard devices. In this case, irq sharing is strictly
forbidden at the bios level. Windows, whatever version, can't handle this
by combining reassigning irq usage later in Windows.
