Just a possibility: examine your Accessibility (Dispaly tab, Settings
button) options in Control Panel and try disabling anything that's activated
in High Contrast color schemes (maybe something Custom is set?) If that's
the cause then you probably also saw the settings change back by themselves
upon each boot, too.
One Accessability option that I like is in IE (Tools | Internet Options |
Accessability) instead of Control Panel, where I set the Ignore font sizes
specified on web pages and I also put the font Size button on the IE
toolbar. Works great at higher screen size resolutions!
